Megabeta 2025: A Year in Numbers (and What We Learned)

Megabeta 2025: A Year in Numbers (and What We Learned)

As we roll into 2026, we wanted to share how it’s going. To pause and look back for a moment.

Megabeta started from a very real, but unglamorous problem.

No good way to carry climbing gear to and from the gym, and the hope that a better bag that could make things easier… even delightful?

Over time, we’ve realized something pretty simple.

Being organized isn’t about perfection. It’s about efficiency.

Some highlights (and numbers) from the past year:

6 Gyms. 6 Cities. Countless Conversations.

In 2025, we tabled at six climbing gyms across:

  • Portland
  • Seattle
  • San Francisco
  • Oakland
  • Los Angeles
  • San Diego

Standing behind a folding table for hours might not sound glamorous, but it’s been one of the most valuable parts of building this brand.

We got to see how people actually use our bags.
We heard what worked, what didn’t, and what surprised them.
And we were reminded, over and over, that climbers care deeply about thoughtful design when it genuinely solves a problem.

Kickstarter Funded in 22 Hours

This year we launched a Kickstarter for our Totepack, and with backer support we hit our funding goal in just 22 hours.

That moment was equal parts exciting and humbling. It wasn’t just about hitting a funding goal. It was proof that the idea resonated, and that people trusted us enough to back it early.

If you were one of those early supporters: thank you. You helped turn a prototype into something real.

The Best Press Moment

After our Kickstarter launch, Gear Patrol asked:

“Did a brand you’ve never heard of just make the perfect active lifestyle EDC bag?”

It felt flattering and motivating at the same time.

When other people see (and talk about) our designs, it injects motivation and reminds us that we are making products for real people!

And building useful gear that holds up beyond our own little corner of the climbing world.

Most Shared Climbing Tips

We invest lots of time in preparing easy-to-digest climbing advice. And the response surprised us.

Here were the most shared tips of 2025:

The common thread?
None of these were hacks. They were about patience, commitment, and enjoying the effort.

That alignment means a lot to us.

Sling Bags, Reviews, and Real Use

Our Sling Bags sold out multiple times this year and now sit at:

4.7 stars
📝 61 reviews

Those reviews come from climbers who’ve carried these bags to the gym, on bikes, on planes, and through the daily chaos of life.

We read every single one.

Totepacks: Launched, Sold Out… Twice

We launched the Totepack this year and watched the Bone colorway sell out. Twice.

That’s both exciting and a little terrifying (inventory is always a learning curve). But it’s also reassuring to see that climbers are excited about bags that prioritize organization, durability, and real-world use.

What We Keep Coming Back To

One quote keeps circling in our heads:

“A good system shortens the road to the goal.”

For us, that’s the heart of Megabeta.

When the logistics fade away, you get more room for:

  • Effort
  • Focus
  • Enjoyment

Hard climbing is still hard, but it’s a lot more fun when the friction disappears.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’ve got more inventory arriving January 18th, and we’re continuing to refine what we build. Not by adding more “stuff,” but by improving the systems around it.

Our goal hasn’t changed: keep the joy in the effort.

Thanks for being part of this journey. Whether you bought a bag, stopped by a gym table, shared a tip, or just followed along, we’re grateful you’re here.

Here’s to shorter roads, better systems, and a lot of honest effort in 2026.
