Everyone wants climbing areas. Nobody wants to fight for them.

When I went to college in St. Louis, I learned to climb at Draper's Bluff.
Then it closed. Access issues, private land. The crag that taught me to climb just stopped being ours.
Nobody tells you this when you start: access isn't permanent. The rock isn't going anywhere, but your right to stand on it can disappear with a property line and a signature. A landowner sells, a developer moves faster than the climbers do, and a place that mattered to a few thousand people becomes a driveway.
That happens more than you'd think. It almost happened to Index. It's happened to backyard crags nobody outside the local scene ever heard of.
So we're spending a week on the people who fight it.
Access Fund is the national org that does this work, the unglamorous, lawyer-and-loan-fund version of protecting climbing. They keep a revolving fund on standby so that when a climbing area on private land goes up for sale, somebody can actually move before it's gone.
And it works. Since 1990 they've assisted with 93 acquisitions, protecting more than 19,000 acres of climbing. They literally buy crags, then hand them to the local climbing community to look after. That's it. That's the whole pitch, and it's a good one.
This isn't recreation. It's the thing that makes recreation possible.
Here's the drop.
We're partnering with Access Fund for a full week, and we built the offer so that buying a bag actually moves money to the fight:
The Bone 8L Sling: new colorway. The 8L in Bone is out now. 20% of every sale Jun 25 - Jul 01 goes to Access Fund. Buy the bag you were already going to buy, send a fifth of it to the crags.
The Gold Label Aqua Sling. A limited Gold Label run of the Aqua Sling, and this one's different: 100% of every Gold Label sale goes to Access Fund. Not the margin. The whole thing.
On top of that, every Gold Label buyer gets an Access Fund membership (a $75 value). This includes the member tee, partner discounts across hundreds of brands, the works. You get a bag, a membership, and the clean conscience of having paid for none of it to come back to us.
Plus: free Megabeta sunglasses with every order this week, while supplies last. No code, no catch. They show up in the package.
I'm genuinely stoked on this one. We make bags for carrying climbing gear; it'd be strange not to care whether there's anywhere left to take it.
Spend a week protecting the places worth protecting. Then go climb.
